Reach the Beach 2013

Team Better, Faster, Stronger took to the roads well before 6:00 am on Friday, September 13, 2013. Twelve current and former Dyn employees were on the team. Below are my legs and a description of them each. Read on for more.

Leg 1

It was absolutely pouring during this leg. It was primarily all uphill, but was refreshing. Overall, I’m pleased with the average pace.

Leg 2

This leg was a night run. I felt fantastic. The beauty of running this event at night is you can see blinking red lights in the distance which are other runners. They serve as “beacons of hope” and offer an incentive to run a bit faster. I ran a sub 8:00/mile average pace.

Leg 3

This was my longest leg and unfortunately was saved for the last leg. My legs were sore, but I muscled through the leg. It felt great to finish and run through somewhat familiar roads.
